DISC personality coaching is an internationally recognised tool that will help you perform better, by learning to become a master communicator, improve relationships, avoid conflict and better understand those around you.

What is DISC personality coaching?

DISC Personality Coaching

DISC is a model of human behaviour that positively impacts on team dynamics, so people have a greater understanding of their strengths and how their behaviour preferences impact on others. If a person communicates to you according to your behavioural preferences, you are more likely to be receptive and respond positively.

Research has shown that behavioural characteristics can be grouped together in four major groups. People with similar styles tend to exhibit specific behavioural characteristics common to that style. All people share these four styles in varying degrees of intensity. The acronym DISC stands for the four personality styles represented by the letters:

DISC Personality Coaching

D (Dominant, Driver)

I (Influencing, Inspiring)

S (Steady, Stable)

C (Correct, Conscientious)

The DISC model opens the doorway to effective communication allowing you to modify your language and behaviour to manage people in any given environment. People respond better to people they like and understand. People are different but, with knowledge of their DISC profile, they are predictably different. During the session you will learn how to minimise misunderstandings and take the mystery out of everyday interactions with others.

How can DISC coaching help you and your team perform better at work?

You will understand how people like to:
  • Process information
  • Communicate with others
  • How they like to be communicated with
  • How they set goals
  • How they make decisions (and why quite often they don’t)
DISC will:
  • Help you positively influence team members
  • Help you communicate more effectively with customers
  • Allow you to replicate your top performers
  • Show you how to retain your key team members
DISC can be positively applied to:
  • Team building
  • Leadership development
  • Sales training
  • Hiring and talent management

How does it work?

Each participant will complete an online assessment and will receive a 15 page detailed report which details their DISC style.

This is followed by 90 minute 1-2-1 coaching session to explore possible beneficial outcomes (relationships, personal development) and agree individual action plans.

If you and your team would like to work collaboratively to understand the DISC model and your team profiles, you can choose to precede your 1-2-1 coaching sessions with a 2 hour group workshop which covers:

  • The DISC model and key attributes of each style
  • Key learnings about how styles interact and how to work effectively together
  • Sharing of DISC profile responses (individually and team)
